I am very passionate about what I do and would love to personalize a walkabout for you, your family, and friends.
All hikes take place through the State, Federal, and County trails emphasizing the beauty of Cottonwood behind the scenes.

Mwandani’s Journey: From Fitness to Nature

Mwandani, a seasoned fitness instructor, embarked on a new journey in 2017 when she took up hiking to challenge her fitness goals. However, the year 2020 marked a significant shift in her life. She found herself back on the trails, not just for fitness, but to educate herself about the local flora, fauna, and history. Soon, she was leading tours, sharing her newfound knowledge with students, friends, families, and others she met along the way. Her attention to detail and trail expertise provided a sense of security to her companions, fostering their admiration for their surroundings. Through fitness and nature walks, Mwandani found a way to manage her anxiety, panic disorder, depression, and agoraphobia, gaining perspective and consciousness in areas of her life she thought were lost.

Walkabout with Mwandani: An Adventure of the Soul, Mind, and Body

In 2023, Mwandani took a significant step by obtaining her business license for “Walkabout with Mwandani,” aiming to provide educational adventures with an emphasis on mental health and wellbeing through nature. However, the journey was not without its challenges. She gained weight, lost focus, and her mental health suffered. But amidst these struggles, she realized that her business was not just a hiking company; it was a reflection of what she needed and wanted in her life. Despite the weight gain and the mental anguish, it caused, she understood that her worth was not defined by her physical appearance but by her capabilities. Starting a business wasn’t easy, but she persevered because she loved what she did. She loved sharing her passion for nature with others. For Mwandani, it was not just a hike; it was an educational adventure for the soul, the mind, and the body.

My goal is to provide educational adventures to all ages with an emphasis on mental health and wellbeing through nature, one step at a time.
